@ Flaminia Saccà is Associate Professor of Political Sociology, Università della Tuscia, Italy (since 2011). She has studied and worked in Italy, U.K. and the U.S. Obtained her degree cum laude in Political Sociology (1995), and then a post-lauream perfectioning course in Cultural Anthropology (1996) her Ph.D in Political Sociology (1999) and her post-doc in Political Sociology (2002) all at the at the University of Rome La Sapienza. Has taught Political Sociology, Sociology of Communication and Sociology at the Universities of Cassino and Tuscia, (2001-2010). Has been/is member of various scientific societies: AIS (Italian Sociological Association), ISA (International Sociological Association), ASA (American Sociological Association), ESA (European Sociological Association). Has published four books and various articles and chapters, mainly on the concept of political culture, political class, women’s condition and on the relationship between younger generations and politics Has directed various research projects on these topics.
